Xerneas Cosplay Leg Tutorial by RawrsuitGirl Xerneas Cosplay Leg Tutorial by RawrsuitGirl
Just a little something for :iconsoniku-girl: who asked how I got the digigrade look on my Xerneas cosplay. Basically, I printed out a life-sized picture of me with the desired outline of the legs over mine. I cut out those pieces (pointed out with yellow lines), transferred them onto foam, glued them to the cosplay pants (what I slip into when I put on Xdeer) I then carved them to round them and lose the "boxy" shape, and for smoothness, I covered them in 1/2 inch foam. Ta da! ^^;
This is just the way I do my costumes--but there are many different ways, too!

How did you make the print life size? The legs look like they would get hot after awhile..

Yes! I had a full body picture of myself and used photoshop to draw my desired outline of the legs and printed it life-size. And yes, the costumes does get hot pretty quickly, but my adrenaline rush while in costume helps me a bit--as well as a small computer fan in the nose to keep me cool :) Always gotta stay hydrated!

What type of foam is it? I never saw it in stores before.

Sorry for the late reply! D:
It's upholstery foam, usually sold in fabric stores. it can come in many colors and thicknesses. Sometimes it is hard to find, but you can probably ask around.
